Each October, Zing staff gather to volunteer at nonprofit organizations across the Denver metro area. This is called #DenverCommunityGives Day. It’s our opportunity to collectively get out into the communities we serve to support some great organizations that make a big impact.
2021 Volunteer Sites
A Precious Child
Assists children and families facing difficult life challenges such as abuse and neglect, crisis situations and poverty.
Project C.U.R.E.
Delivers life-saving medical equipment and supplies to hospitals and clinics throughout the under-resourced world.
Soles4Souls
Turns unwanted shoes and clothing into opportunity, by keeping them from going to waste and putting them to good use – providing relief, creating jobs and empowering people to break the cycle of poverty.
Food Bank of the Rockies
Provides food and necessities to more than 800 Hunger Relief Partners across Colorado and Wyoming, partner organizations who then provide their local communities with food, necessities, and support.
City Harvest
40% of food produced in the U.S. is wasted. City Harvest, a local Volunteers of America Colorado initiative, tries to combat these statistics by preventing good food from going to waste. Dubbed a “food bank for other non-profit food banks,” it distributes food to other organizations that feed families around the city of Denver.
Jewish Family Service’s Weinberg Food Pantry
Strengthens the community by providing comprehensive services to vulnerable individuals and families of all faiths, races, ages, incomes, abilities, sexual orientation, and gender identities throughout Colorado. The Weinberg Food Pantry in Denver assists individuals and families facing hunger and food insecurity.
