How do I set up an external transfer?
Setting up an external transfer account is a great way to make payments from another financial institution or manage cash flow between two accounts. To set up an external transfer, you will need to follow these steps:
- Log into your digital banking account.
- Click Move Money.
- Click Add External Account.
- Add the Account Number, Account Type and Routing Number of the account you would like to link from another institution.
- Click Continue – Micro deposit (a few cents) will be made to your external account to ensure the account is linked correctly. These micro deposits may take a couple of days to appear in your external account. Once the micro deposits are made, you will need to verify the deposits.
To verify the micro deposits:
- Log into your digital banking account.
- Click Move Money.
- Click Verify External Account.
- Enter the amounts of the micro deposits.
- Click Verify.
Your external account has now been setup. You may use your external account to transfer funds to and from Zing Credit Union.
